Boston: James Munroe, 1837. Translated by George Moir with a Memoir of Albert Wallenstein by G. (George) Wallis Haven. First edition of the memoir (Pick, 338), the translation appeared in London ten years previous. Contemporary half calf, gilt- and blind-ruled, leather label, gilt-lettered, over marbled paper. Haven did some of the translations in SELECT MINOR POEMS OF GOETHE AND SCHILLER, 1839, edited by John Sullivan Dwight, volume 3 of George Ripley's "Specimens of Foreign Standard Literature" series, and he translated Heine's "The Romantic School" as "Letters Auxiliary to the Polite Literature in Germany", 1836. Light foxing, a Very Good copy.
