The three volume autobiographical series bound in one, with a forward by John Hall Wheelock and an introduction by Malcolm Cowley. Tipped in is an autograph letter, signed, from Brooks to Elliott Graham, publicist at E.P. Dutton, dated August 11th,1961, acknowledging a letter and discussing his near future plans. Laid in is a pamphlet prospectus for a memorial to Brooks, eight pages, anonymous, issued by the Van Wyck Brooks Memorial Association, with a drawing of Brooks by George Biddles, and listing the "Committee of Sponsors" which includes many of the most prominent literary historians of the day. Some staining to the cloth and top edge, a little wear to the jacket, a Very Good copy in a Very Good jacket.
