Ranging from 1903 to 1908, from Placerville to San Francisco, Ogden, Utah, Virginia City, and four to Goldfield, Nevada. Each with the destination postmark on the back. Ernest William Blair was from an old, large pioneer family in Placerville. He worked there for Wells Fargo, then as a relief agent in offices in California, Nevada, and Utah. He went to work for banker John S. Cook Co. in Goldfield in 1905. He married Minnie Nichols, also from a California pioneer family, in 1909. From 1918 they went to Tonopah, then bought a farm in Fallon in 1924, where Ernest continued as a banker and Minnie developed a large turkey operation, eventually sending birds all over the country (Days Remembered of Folsom and Placerville, California; Banking and Farming in Goldfield, Tonopah, and Fallon, Nevada.
