Original green cloth, lettered and decorated in gilt, and original printed dust jacket, 104pp. The date on the title is 1892 but the jacket is dated 1910. This is the translation only; it was also issued with an introduction and notes by Earle, 203pp. John Earle (1824-1903) was a linguist and professor of Anglo-Saxon at Oxford. The volume a little cocked, 1919 ownership signature (Helen Hackney), Very Good; the jacket with just a bit of wear along some edges, spine a little darkened.
