Dedicated (in print) to "My Little Daughter Margaret". Higginson is credited as "discoverer" of Emily Dickinson's poetry. She wrote to him, a stranger, in 1862: "Will you be my preceptor, Mr. Higginson?" ("Letters...", v.1, p.304). Slight rubbing, a clean, Very Good copy.
