Original plain stiff-wrappers and printed dust jacket, 32 pp. Inscribed and signed by the author ("Joe") in the year of publication. Parrington, who had recently died, taught English at U.W.; Harrison was a colleague. Parrington won a Pulitzer Prize in History for his "Main Currents in American Thought", 1928, in which he "...redefined American literature as American thought" (p.14). Before landing in Seattle Parrington taught and was the football coach at the University of Oklahoma. Some sunning to edges; jacket beginning to split at spine ends, else Fine.
