Lytton (1803-1873) was an English poet, novelist, writer for the journals, dramatist, and politician; he was prominent in all of them. He was tremendously popular despite generally poor reviews, and is responsible for giving us "It was a dark and stormy night" and "The pen is mightier than the sword". A Fine copy, bright and fresh.
