Contemporary quarter green morocco, lettered and decorated in gilt, and marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers, all edges cut, ribbon marker, 546 pp. An account of the trip to Scotland and England of the exiled Henri de France, Duke of Bordeaux, Count de Chamford, last in the male line of the "legitimist" faction of the Bourbons. Walsh was a French civil servant and travel writer with Irish Catholic antecedents. On the front fly-leaf is the ownership signature of Viscount Anselme de Charnace, and the later signature of Marie de Charnace. Just a little light edge wear to the edges of the boards, essentially a Fine, lovely copy.
