for April 26 and May 31, 1877. Two issues, complete. Folio newspapers, 8 pp. each. A lengthy article, probably by one of the editorsf, John Humphrey Noyes or William A. Hinds, deciding that Fourierism was the downfall of Brook Farm, then asserting that the American socialist movement should be American born and bred, rejecting all foreign influences. In the latter issue F.S. Cabot, a Brook Farmer, replies that Fourierism played no part in the failure; then he praises Fourier's "Phalansterian doctrines". Not in Myerson. A Fine set.
