1 Byron, Lord George Gordon. The Bride of Abydos. A Turkish Tale, 1813; The Giaour, A Fragment of a Turkish Tale, 1813; The Corsair, A Tale, 1814; The Prisoner of Chillon, and Other Poems, 1816; Poems on His Domestic Circumstances, 1816.

Mixed editions, all published by John Murray and all are printed by T. Davison. These are remainders, bound together, none with the original wrappers bound in. Original embossed green cloth, red leather label, gilt. An early book cloth style, perhaps the early 1830's. In extraordinary condition, with one small abrasion at the top of the spine, one corner bumped, one corner rubbed, and the spine label slightly abraded. A Fine volume.

2 Byron, Lord George Gordon Noel, Baron Byron. The Corsair, A Tale. bound with: Mazeppa, A Poem.

The Corsair: London: John Murray, 1819. First edition, second issue (Wise, 1928, p.43). (A) 6, B-G8, H2. Lacks the final signature, "I", which, according to Wise, makes this an "early variant" of the second issue. Murray was in such a hurry to meet the demand for this that he wouldn't wait for the final signature to be made ready. Mazeppa: London: John Murray, 1819. First edition, second issue. (A)2, B-E8, F4. These are bound together in early half leather, gilt, over cloth, 8 3/8 inches tall. Some rubbing, cloth a little bubbled, spine panel bearing the lettering chipped. These titles are not rare; by this time in his career Byron was more famous than Elvis. A Very Good copy.
